Content Performance was a WP Engine plugin that integrated with raw Google Analytics data and optimized it for WordPress, then displayed that information within your WordPress admin dashboard. The purpose of the service was to help marketers and publishers better understand how their content was performing among real users on their WordPress websites.
Content Performance End-of-Life
At WP Engine, we’re constantly evaluating our current feature set and are committed to delivering innovative new solutions for WordPress like Smart Plugin Manager, updates to next-generation hosting infrastructure, and leading the way in Gutenberg with Genesis Blocks Pro. Due to this, we have reached the decision to End-of-Life Content Performance. We know that insights are valuable to your business and, as such, we are making investments to deliver actionable insights directly via the WP Engine User Portal.
WP Engine has started the process of sunsetting the Content Performance service offering and will complete the process on May 25, 2020. You don’t need to take any action or uninstall the Content Performance plugin from your site; we’ll take care of that for you.
You will continue to have access to Content Performance through May 25, 2020.
If you wish to preserve Content Performance data it must be downloaded before May 25, 2020.

Transitioning from Content Performance to MonsterInsights will not cause any Google Analytics data loss or interrupt data collection on your website. Google Analytics works by collecting information through a script, typically placed in a theme file. As long as this script itself isn’t moved or modified (such as by changing your theme), your site will continue sending data to Google to compile as normal. After setting up the a alternative WordPress plugin, it will connect to Google and load the website traffic data into your WordPress admin, similarly to Content Performance.
