Falls Music & Arts Festival, one of Australia’s largest music festivals, needed a relaunch after canceling its 2020 event, which fixed prior downtime and ticketing issues.
Cruickshanks Agency led the site redesign, with dedicated WP Engine engineers assisting throughout the launch process.

The ChallengeRelaunching after a year of silence
After canceling in 2020, Falls Festival needed a stable, redesigned site ready for a high-stakes relaunch, timed to a lineup announcement and ticket pre-sale that would draw tens of thousands of concurrent visitors.
-
The SolutionBuilt to handle traffic
Cruickshanks built the site to be static and highly cacheable on WP Engine’s platform, with WP Engine’s team helping benchmark expected traffic ahead of the ticket on-sale to ensure the architecture could handle the load.
ResultsZero downtime during the biggest rush
The relaunch, completed in just over two months, went live without a single 502 or 504 error even at peak concurrency — Google Lighthouse scores landed in the high 90s across both mobile and desktop, and the redesign was featured in Elementor’s May 2022 showcase.
Working with WP Engine provides us with way more than hosting—it’s an expert team that money can’t buy.
