Helping Veterans Build Meaningful Careers In WordPress
At WP Engine we have always been proud supporters of our military veterans. Some ways we support our veterans is by holding unique happy hours, partnering with organizations that provide career training, and providing them jobs.
With that support of veterans in mind, we are super excited to sponsor free attendance for the first 30 veterans who sign up for WordCamp Tampa and WP BootCamp, day-long workshop designed to teach WordPress to U.S. military veterans. WP BootCamp will be held during the first day of WordCamp Tampa, which runs from September 25 to September 27. Additional WP BootCamp tickets are available for $15 for vets and non-vets.
To present WP BootCamp, WordCamp Tampa has partnered with Happy Joe, a non-profit that works with military veterans to help them find meaningful and sustainable careers through WordPress.
We’re always excited and inspired by initiatives like WP BootCamp that give back to the community, and we look forward to more ways support our veterans and the greater WordPress ecosystem.
WP BootCamp will be held Friday, September 25, the first day of WordCamp Tampa, which runs September 25 through September 27 at USF’s Marshall Student Center in Tampa, Fla. Veterans interested in attending can sign up now.
